Navigating the Complexities of Modern Governance: A New Platform for Dialogue
Abstract
This inaugural editorial introduces Inclusive Growth and Governance Quarterly (IGGQ), a new academic forum dedicated to bridging the critical divide between economic development and social equity. Recognizing that traditional aggregate metrics are no longer sufficient to capture the nuances of progress, IGGQ advocates for a multidisciplinary approach to understanding modern governance. This piece outlines the journal’s foundational mission and identifies three primary pillars for future inquiry: the societal implications of digital transformation and artificial intelligence; the shift from shareholder primacy to robust Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) frameworks; and the evolving landscape of global policy in a multipolar world. The editorial concludes by inviting rigorous, actionable scholarship that reimagines institutional structures to foster a more inclusive, sustainable, and just global society.
